赤松和光（Kazumitsu Akamatsu）
造形作家・小説家。彫刻家・成田亨に師事。株式会社タカラ入社後、リカちゃんをはじめとした数々のヒット商品の企画開発に携わる。その後自身のソフビメーカー・株式会社マーミットを立ち上げ。近年は世界からの熱烈なオファーに応え、NY、香港など各地で個展を開催している。

Kazumitsu Akamatsu
Sculptor, novelist, and the founder and president of the soft vinyl brand “MARMIT.” Born in 1962, he studied under Tohl Narita, the exclusive designer for Ultraman, during his student years, and participated in the art production of numerous tokusatsu (special effects) works. In 1984, he joined Takara (now Takara Tomy), where he led product development for IPs such as The Brave Series, Magical Circle Guru Guru, and Electroid. He is recognized as one of the pioneers who brought “kaiju” (monsters) from the screen into the real world.
